As you are all undoubtedly aware, we love white wine. Savoie is likely the best white that the fewest people are aware of.

It always seems like the most interesting wines come from the world’s most beautiful spots. It is hard to imagine that wine produced from the above Savoie vineyards would not be great. For the uninitiated, Savoie, produced from the Jacquere grape, is some of the greatest food white wine there is. This is the 1st time in years we have had a Savoie available as the good ones are hard to come by and are mostly consumed inside the French borders. This is the ultimate wine for the Spring. True, this wine will benefit from another year or 2 in the cellar, but it is so hard to resist pulling corks, especially once you have a chance to taste the juice in the bottle.

As i am sure you all know, we go a little squirrelly about very good white wine over here. I know it is a false spring, but as it is so warm out, we will pretend that it is real. We are going to feature more awesome white today. See below for descriptions and features.

Ahhh, Condrieu. Many would suggest, and rightly so, that this is some of the greatest white wine available in the world. Stephane Ogier is right there with the best producer’s in the Northern Rhone. His 2015 La Combe de Malleval Condrieu is spectacular. You do not have to wait years to drink it. Condrieu is one of the best food white wines known to humanity. Oh yeah, this also garnered a 94 point score from the Wine Advocate. This is likely to be gone prior to arrival, so reserve your case now.
