The 2016 vintage of GIFFT Pinot Noir Rosé is irresistible with fragrant notes of freshly picked summer berries and rose petal. Raspberry, strawberry and nectarine sweep the palate rounded with bright acidity and a crisp, refreshing finish.

It is hard not to get super excited about this wine. I am typically a Rose traditionalist, but you can’t argue with greatness. This is the best Rose i have ever tasted that was produced in North America. Never mind that it is produced from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, has beautiful berries on the nose and has a nice long finish that leaves you begging for another sip. This is the Rose you need to have around all summer long. Sadly, this wine is pre arrival, but it has been shipped, so it should not take too long as it is only coming from California.

At the recent California wine show here in Toronto, people just couldn’t get enough. We had a line up to taste and we were through the bottles we had before the show was half over.

We all know Scheid vineyard makes crazy good wines. We all know Kathie Lee Gifford has uncompromising taste. Put those 2 facts together and you have a scrumptiously good crowd pleasing wine.

Looking for some more traditional Rose? Many think Bandol Rose is literally the epitome of what Provence Rose is supposed to taste like. It is salmon in colour, but has plenty of spice, strength and length. Perfect on its own on a hot summer day, or with a multitude of foods.

OK, we know that some of you just want that straight up Pinot Noir. The Craftwork is amazing and the price is right for wine of this quality. We have 1 palate remaining of the 2013. Scroll down for the feature.
