An elegant and stylish wine, with aromas of strawberries and vivid red fruit flavors balanced with subtle spice and a delicate mineral note. The silky texture leads into a long, layered finish. The Craftwork Pinot Noir is a graceful and balanced offering that is the ultimate food wine. It pairs beautifully with grilled salmon, roast duck, pork tenderloin or soft-ripened cheeses.

We brought in just enough of the 2013 Craftwork Pinot Noir to last until the new vintage arrived. Well the 2015 has now arrived in Canada. It may still be a few weeks before it is released, but at least we know it is here. It is featured down below, so if you want to be one of the 1st to receive the new vintage upon release, order this now.

Finding great Pinot Noir is no easy task. Finding great Pinot Noir in California that received great scores from the critics that we can sell under $25/bottle, well that is just downright lucky. If you are a fan of Pinot Noir and you  have yet to try this wine, this will likely be your last chance, at least at the 2013.

We love to work with family run wineries. There is something about having your family name associated with a bottle that lends itself to ensuring that you are always getting the best wines possible. The Scheid Family is no exception. They are producing exception quality based on the prices the wine is being sold at. It does not hurt that they are extremely nice people. We are off to visit the Scheid’s tomorrow. We are looking forward to further getting the inside scoop on all we can over there.

I would like to remind our patrons that red wine, and especially the Craftwork Pinot Noir, is meant to be served between 15 and 18 Celcius. Many people suggest red wine should be served at “room temperature”, well this depends on the temperature of your room. Some wines are better on the warmer side and some on the cooler. With this wine in particular, i would suggest you serve it no warmer than 18 degrees. It tastes exponentially better than if you serve it at 22 degrees.

Today is all about Pinot Noir. We have the new vintage of Craftwork Pinot Noir in Canada and the Gifft Pinot Noir Rose is nigh. All these wines will be great for the remainder of Spring and Summer.

It’s Monday, and the last day for most of to file taxes without penalty. Hopefully, you were one of the ones way out in front of this, but statistics show, that for most, this is not the case. Either way, you might just want a really nice glass of wine waiting for you when you get home today. Make sure that you have wine coming to replenish your depleted stocks.

We are off to California this week to ensure that we have great offerings for years to come. We consider this to be one of the most important parts of our work. Should you have suggestions for underrepresented California wines, please send them along.

It’s Monday. Let’s make this a great week.
