Somewhat seductive, like the wine maker himself, this is a charming, rich, focused and delightful white. The wine has a fresh backbone of acidity, clean flavors, and an excellent balance. A most refreshing quaff and one that is great value.

On a beautiful Spring day like today, how can one not get really excited about white wine? Chavy Chouet’s Bourgogne Blanc is a delicious little treat. To my somewhat educated palate, if i tasted this blind, i would not pick this out as a Bourgogne. My tendency would actually lead towards a Meursault, but the grassiness of the Puligny Montrachet is present as well. The Femelottes is drinking very well today and will do so for the coming years.

The Femelottes will match beautifully with soft cheeses and delicate fish dishes, roasted chicken and pork tenderloin.

Yeah, we know that there are some of you that love the leaner style of Chardonnay such as what tends to come from Chablis. In fact, i am one of those people. Truthfully, i like both styles and it would be extremely difficult for me to pick one over the other. Each wine is perfect for its particular situation.

Bouchard’s 2014 Vieilles Vignes Chablis epitomizes what most of us look for in a Chablis. Great mineral on the palate, a nice long finish. This one is drinking just as one would want it right now. If you love Chablis, you are going to have a hard time not loving this wine.

For me, the perfect matches for this wine is chicken off the bbq, most all cheeses and fattier fishes. Yeah, this wine is delicious. For clarity, all of these wines also drinks beautifully on its own.

I can’t help but get excited about Rose in the Spring. Rose, on the whole, might be the best deal left in wine. We have a number of Rose’s en route which are soon to be released. Click here to view all the Rose that is on the way and scroll down to see the Rose feature.
