When it comes to white wine, this is about as opulent as it gets. Stunning!

“This has a gorgeous feel, with opulent fruit offset by racy herb notes and acidity, showing lemon sherbet, shortbread and white peach flavors backed by a salted butter— and tarragon-laced finish, with hints of talc and fennel skittering in the background. Seriously long and still a touch youthful on the finish, this is one for the cellar. Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Sémillon. Best from 2017 through 2023.”

There are those among us that get really excited about great white wines. Yeah, if you didn’t know already, i am one of them. This is a rare find and we reserved all we could, and there wasn’t much. The 2013 Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc is there with the finest Bordeaux Blanc i have ever tasted. This is a hard wine to get your hands on to begin with. Throw in that it managed the # 9 on the Wine Spectator Top 100 and we were lucky to get any at all.

Although, Summer seems to be taking some time to arrive in full force, at some point, it will get here and we will be glad to have all the white wine possible to enjoy on a warm afternoon, or to enjoy with a light meal.

No matter how much of Roblin’s Sancerre we bring, it always seems to disappear. We have more en route, and you might just want to be ahead of the curve and reserve yourself a case or 2.

Chablis anyone? Bouchard’s Chablis have become a favourite for WineOnline.ca clients. These wines exemplify their terroir. If it works for your budget, it is hard to imagine a better house wine for the Summer. We just had some more arrive, but act fast as this PO is near sold through.

Those of you that love white wine, (you know who you are), these are the wines you want to stock up on.

Have a great weekend!
