The 2016 vintage of GIFFT Pinot Noir Rosé is irresistible with fragrant notes of freshly picked summer berries and rose petal. Raspberry, strawberry and nectarine sweep the palate rounded with bright acidity and a crisp, refreshing finish.

According to news reports, both the LCBO and the head of the union representing LCBO employees have advised that you stock up on your favourite wines prior to the strike deadline of Monday morning at 12:01AM. The LCBO Specialty Services warehouse, (where we store our imported wines), has notified us that they will be open tomorrow, ensuring what you order today, will be available for pickup prior to the strike deadline.

I am typically a Rose traditionalist, but you can’t argue with greatness. This is the best Rose i have ever tasted that was produced in North America. Never mind that it is produced from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, has beautiful berries on the nose and has a nice long finish that leaves you begging for another sip. This is the Rose you need to have around all summer long.

At the recent California wine show here in Toronto, people just couldn’t get enough. We had a line up to taste and we were through the bottles we had before the show was half over.

If you want some of the best Rose there is anywhere, the Bandol is the direction to go. Every time i pull a cork, i just can’t help but get a little giddy. The tasting note below is worth reading.

A gorgeous salmon-pink in colour with orange tints. On the nose, floral and ripe with hints of peach and strawberry and spice. On the palate, soft and dry with a mineral acidity leading to flavours of fraises des bois, canteloupe melon and citrus fruits. The finish is long and lingering. This silky rose is a blend of hand-harvested Mourvedre, Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan and is particularly well suited to seafood and salads.

The A Mano Rosato delivers. This is wonderful Rose and the price is right.
