Vineyard Story: Vintae

Winemaker Raul Acha of Vintae Wines.  “Vintae is a family run winery from Spain.  Vintae is now making wines in 15 different regions in the north of Spain, from Galicia to Catalonia.  I started making wine I was a child. My wine making roots dates back generations of vineyard farmers.  Wine production is not the same at different moments of the day.  In the mid day wines are pink, and the afternoon and evening can be totally different characteristic. It’s not the wine you drink, it’s the bottle, it’s the moment, it’s the taste.  We have a country that within a few kilometers, we have big changes of climate.  This complexity of the region and a good balance of soils and climate conditions, Rioja is classified as the best in Spain.”
