Oregon Pinot Gris To Knock Your Socks Off

Pinot Gris Première Cuvée 2017 by Pearce Predhomme

Pinot Gris Première Cuvée 2017 is produced by Pearce Predhomme in Willamette Valley, Oregon – renowned for its many similarities to Burgundy.

The midpoint of the Willamette Valley lies at 45 degrees north latitude, the same as for Burgundy’s Cote d’Or. Oregon wineries have typically been small, family-owned affairs, just like in Burgundy.

Well made Pinot Gris is simply irresistible.

Will Predhomme – one of Canada’s Top Sommeliers – together with a team of French winemakers living in Oregon, created a spectacular range of wines from Willamette Valley, Oregon.

A small number of producers in Oregon are in fact reaching these levels. And producing delicious whites.

Well made Pinot Gris is simply irresistible. There is no better match for a piece of chicken or fish off the BBQ than the right glass of Pinot Gris.

We were blown away by the depth and complexity.

We did a double-take when we first put our nose in the glass of this wine. We had to pick up the bottle to realize it was in fact Pearce Predhomme’s 2017 Pinot Gris Première Cuvée. We were blown away by the depth and complexity.

Pinot Gris Première Cuvée 2017 – What the Critics Say:

“This has quite lovely subtle and clean nose of fresh peach, honeysuckle and vague breadcrust – classic gris aromas that are particularly refined. It is medium weight, dry yet nicely fruity as well with fine pear on the palate. It has a mineral edge, the finish is clean, the length is very good to excellent.”
