Postmark Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley by Duckhorn 2018

Postmark Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2018 produced by Duckhorn Vineyards proves that you don’t need to spend triple digits to find an epic California red made by an iconic producer.

Sourced from top vineyards in St. Helena, Atlas Peak, Rutherford, Mt. Veeder, Diamond Mountain and the Stags Leap District. And the result is head-spinning!

Founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has spent over forty years establishing itself as one of North America’s premier producers of Napa Valley wines. From its modest inaugural vintage of 800 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon and 800 cases of Merlot in 1978, to its addition of Sauvignon Blanc in 1982, Duckhorn Vineyards has crafted a tradition of quality and excellence that continues today.

Named one of the “Top 100 Wineries” in the world seven times by Wine & Spirits Magazine

A new label and new wine from Duckhorn Vineyards, “Postmark” hits the “best value” zone for Napa Valley Cabernet. It’s sourced from top vineyards in St. Helena, Atlas Peak, Rutherford, Mt. Veeder, Diamond Mountain and the Stags Leap District. And the result is head-spinning!

Aged for 12 months in French oak, this 2018 is dark and lush with rolling layers of dark fruits (cassis, blackberry, boysenberry) before it gives way to a hint of violets.

A profound Cabernet value at under $40 a bottle. Drinking now and for at least the next 5 years.

The label offers a homage to the days when people wrote letters to one-another, detailing travel experiences, weather and anything else going on during daily life.  The postmark seal gives this Cabernet the fine distinction of authenticity hailing from the veritable beating heart of the American wine scene-Napa Valley.

Postmark Cabernet Sauvignon by Duckhorn 2018 – What the Critics Say:

“The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is a soft, fruity wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Pliant and supple, the 2018 offers lovely immediacy. Succulent red cherry, red plum, spice, lavender, cedar and tobacco all flesh out in this effortless, forward Cabernet.”
91 Points – Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media, December 2020
