No need to rewrite the story: sellouts, double sellouts, and a stream of mail demanding more—this is the hype behind Passo del Sud Edizione Appassimento 2018.  If you are fortunate enough have tasted past vintages, you already appreciate the excitement.

Since we started with the 2016 vintage, Passo del Sud Edizione blows off our warehouse doors each time we offer it. And here’s why: To score 97 points three consecutive vintages and a slew of member reviews is quite a feat! This is one of the most exciting wines we have tried from Puglia. It’s a blend of Primitivo, Nero di Troia and Merlot. 

Another interesting fact is the wine is made “Appassimento” which means the grapes were dried for a period of time before they were pressed helping the wine to concentrate its flavours. The same method used to make Amarone!
