“Great intensity of classic Bordeaux fruit on the nose, cassis, dark cherries and liquorice. The rich round palate is bursting with fresh blackberry and blackcurrant, lovely silky tannins great length all in perfect harmony.”

Bordeaux has got it figured out. They have managed to package elegance and refinement, and sell it. Even in the dead of winter, (above picture), the vineyards look orderly and well cared for. This is the 1st time we have brought in the Graves from Landiras. When we tasted this wine, we just could not resist and we are guessing that once you try it, you will be as excited as we are. Winning the Best is Show/Platinum Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards is not exactly a piece of cake, especially in the Bordeaux classification.

Even over here in Europe, travelling wine regions, Bordeaux is king. No matter where you are, there is always a few bottles of top notch Bordeaux on every wine list. This is likely due to the fact that no matter where in the world you are, people want to drink Bordeaux.

We love French wines. Many people are intimidated by the classification system in France as very few wines are labelled by varietal, and are instead labelled by region/appellation. This can be disconcerting for those unfamiliar with the regions and appellations, because you are never quite sure what you are going to get. I encourage you to ask the questions as French wine is some of the best in the world and it would be a shame to miss out. We are always here to help should you want further clarification on French wine, or anything else wine related for that matter.

We will do our best to showcase to you over the coming weeks and months. We are excited to share!
