2018 Estate Pinot Noir Monterey by Craftwork
This 2018 Estate Pinot Noir Monterey by Craftwork Wines isn’t just an exemplary cool-climate wine but also great value. This is not your everyday Pinot Noir!
“Really good California pinot noir under $20 USD ($27 CAD) seems to be the holy grail of wine — something we are always seeking, but may not actually exist. The Craftwork is not only delicious and affordable, but it comes with a county appellation, not just the statewide “California” designation. And it is all-estate fruit, meaning the winery grew the grapes. This is an elegant wine with flavors of strawberries and plums, accented with spicy notes of clove and nutmeg.” Great Value – Washington Post, April 2020 (2016 vintage)
Monterey County is still a place where world-class wines can be made at approachable prices. This unique appellation boasts one of the coolest climates in California with one of the longest growing seasons in the world.
An ideal combination for the finicky Pinot Noir grape. Home to some of the only pockets of limestone soil in California, Monterey County produces a wine with all the things you expect from a great Pinot Noir. The light to medium body, delicate mineral notes and long finish are guaranteed to impress. We might be so bold as to say, the perfect red!

“Excellent Pinot noir. We just received our case and tried the first bottle. We had it with pork tenderloin and found it excellent.”

“Great Pinot. Love this wine with poultry or oily fish and for sipping. Responds well to a slight chill.”Nick H. – Verified Buyer
“Very good. Succulent, smooth and tasty. Well priced. Just missing the slight edge that the top Pinot Noirs have.”

This elegant wine opens with aromas of black cherries, raspberries and plums. Medium-bodied with soft tannins, the bright red fruit flavours balance a lingering, sweet oak finish. Pairs beautifully with grilled salmon, roast duck, pork tenderloin and soft-ripened cheeses.
